Case Study: Beachside garden apartment

The Buyer

Owner-occupier.

The Brief

Stylish, garden apartment close to the beach, pet friendly and with a non-threatening, manageable strata.

The Strategy

When our client discovered that her Coogee residence of 8 years was undergoing a compulsory acquisition by developers, the team were tasked with finding our client her next home.

The Story

A respected producer in the television and film industry, our client initially felt “lost” and “out of touch” with the current Sydney market. Seeking a beachside garden apartment which was pet-friendly for her soon-to-be adopted rescue dog, the search was heavily dependent on finding a non-threatening and manageable strata and being an avid traveller, with ample parking and storage space for her camper van and supplies.

With overseas travelling being a large part of our client’s working requirements, a large amount of trust was put in our team to search and shortlist numerous properties throughout the Eastern Suburbs to the Northern Beaches local area with Zoom inspections becoming the preferred method to view properties in more detail.

With a doggy door and kennel already built-in, high-end finishes and within walking distance to Freshwater Beach and surrounds, the team utilised previous agent connections to secure an off-market opportunity within 48 hours, $200,000 under budget; a result that further revealed the values of employing an experienced buyers’ agent with local market knowledge.

A warm thank you to Jonathan Morton and the team at Clarke & Humel Manly for allowing us to secure such a fantastic property for our client!
